Description

This is the premium version of Raidable Bases. The differences between this and the free version is five (5) difficulties and associated loot table functionality instead of one (1), buyable events, and lockouts for players. Updating from 1.7.1 to 2.0.0 and above shouldn’t require anything special. Simply install it.

This plugin requires CopyPaste plugin to work. It also requires that you have copypaste files already made. Raidable bases will be spawned using the CopyPaste plugin. This plugin does NOT come with any bases.

Raidable Bases Guide

This is not your run-of-the-mill plugin. DO NOT INSTALL WITHOUT READING THIS DOCUMENTATION FIRST.
This plugin is extremely advanced and requires the utmost attention to detail to configure properly. Jumping around in the configuration file or profiles will lead to more problems than it’s worth. Take your time to understand each option before enabling or disabling its functionality.

**Raidable Bases is an independent expansion of Dangerous Treasures. You may learn how to enable the expansion mode below. It does not require Dangerous Treasures for any other purpose.**
Configuration

Loot Tables

The plugin comes with some very basic items (Default_Loot.json) that only serve as a demo loot list for you to either delete or expand upon. In order to make any use of the plugin (beyond demonstration) you will have to create your own loot lists instead.

It will take a very long time to configure your loot tables, and fine-tune each to your specific needs. To start, I recommend that you use the rb.populate all command. This creates files in the Editable_Lists folder for each difficulty that contain every item in the game. Edit each file and set the amounts for the items that you want to spawn, and remove those that you do not want to spawn. It may look intimidating editing a list of 660 items, but don’t underestimate how easy it is to delete items from a list compared to adding each one manually.

Items that have their amount (not amountMin) set to 0 will not spawn. So you may either delete these items from the list, or come back to them later. If you set amountMin to 0 then chance will determine if the item spawns or not, and another item will not replace it unless there are extra items available (as of 1.7.3).

You can set the item skin that you want to use, but I suggest using the Skins settings in the configuration file to use random skins, or none at all.

The rb.populate command which populates the Editable_Lists folder also includes items already inside of your Difficulty_Loot folder. This allows you to easily repopulate lists in order to re-evaluate which items spawn at a later date.

Files inside of the Editable_Lists folder must be copied into an existing loot file in order to use the loot table. As the name implies, it is for **editing only**.

– If you want to use Editable_Lists/Easy.json for your Easy bases then copy the contents of the file into the Difficulty_Loot/Easy.json file.

– If you want to use Editable_Lists/Expert.json for the Expert Bases.json profile, then you must copy the contents of the Expert.json file into the Bases_Loot/Expert Bases.json file

probability – the chance that the item can spawn. value must be between 0.0 and 1.0 where 1.0 is 100% chance

Loot Priority

Loot is pulled from all datafiles within the oxide/data/RaidableBases/ folder with the exception of the Profiles folder which is used to configure bases.
oxide/data/RaidableBases/Base Loot – If a loot table exists in this folder with the same name as a profile then all of the bases in that profile will use this loot table. If you want items in this loot table to always spawn then you must enable Always Spawn Base Loot Table in the respective profile.
oxide/data/RaidableBases/Difficulty Loot – Items will be chosen from these files based on the difficulty of each profile.
If Use Day Of Week Loot is enabled then it will choose the loot table for that specific day. Otherwise, it will pick from Default_Loot.json. This is the default list, and is only used when all other loot tables do not have a sufficient amount of loot to spawn based on the Amount Of Items To Spawn setting.

Loot Settings

Allow Duplicate Items – This is useful when you do not have enough items in your loot tables , and you want to spawn Amount Of Items To Spawn by using the same items more than once.
Amount Of Items To Spawn – This is the number of items that you want to spawn. If you do not have enough items in your loot tables then it will only spawn the amount that you have available. It will not spawn items if the container does not have enough space.
Divide Loot Into All Containers – This allows you to divide loot evenly from all of your loot lists into all containers when enabled. You MUST increase or decrease Amount Of Items To Spawn respective to how many items you want in each container. This includes large boxes, small boxes, coffins and vending machines. Optional settings include (in order of priority) cupboard, bbq, oven, fridge and lockers.
Allow Players To Pickup Deployables (false) – As name implies, overridden by Entities Not Allowed To Be Picked Up
Allow Players To Deploy A Cupboard (true) – Block players from placing a TC after destroying the TC in the base.
Drop Container Loot X Seconds After It Is Looted (false) – Prevent players from cherry picking items and leaving the rest, in order to despawn the raid quicker.
Drop Container Loot Applies Only To Boxes And Cupboards (true) – As name implies
Empty All Containers Before Spawning Loot (true) – Useful if using CopyPaste files that contain loot already – I suggest leaving this true as it can complicate how many items spawn if there are too few inventory slots remaining.
Ignore Containers That Spawn With Loot Already (false) – Useful if you want specific loot to spawn from a copypaste file.
Require Cupboard Access To Loot (false) – Prevent all players from looting until they reach the TC, or destroy it.
Skip Treasure Loot And Use Loot In Base Only (false)" – Useful if you want all loot to spawn from a copypaste file – not recommended – will allow players to memorize which boxes to raid and ignore the rest.
Always Spawn Base Loot Table (false) – Very useful if you want items in the Base_Loot file to always spawn (such as C4, rockets, ammo, etc)

Settings

Blacklisted Commands (none) – prevents players from using these commands inside of a raid base

Grid

This plugin creates it’s own spawn points automatically, which cover the entirety of your server’s map when the plugin is loaded. This is created one-time when the plugin loads. The grid maintains itself without requiring any input.
You may view the grid by typing /rb grid in-game to view detailed drawings of all locations on the grid.
X – green – possible spawn point
X – Red – currently in use
C – Cyan – construction detected nearby
TC – yellow – TC detected nearby
W – blue – water depth is too high – refreshes on ocean level change
Each location on the grid is checked a second time before spawning a base to insure it does not spawn the base on players or their buildings.
You can disable using the grid by providing a valid spawn file for each raid type (buyable, maintained, scheduled and manual).

Commands

buyraid – buys a raid, eg: buyraid easy, buyraid easy steamid, buyraid 0, buyraid 0 steamid. I suggest typing the command and using the UI to buy bases.
rb – for players to see the ladder (also for admins to see the status of each raid going on, which includes showing the allies and owners of each raid)
For admins, or players with the admin permission raidablebases.allow:
rb grid – see the grid and all monument names
rb resettime – reset the time for the next scheduled event
rb savefix – to cancel a save that has become stuck – requires authlevel 2
rb prod – to gather information from a raid base entity for debugging purposes – requires admin or raidablebases.allow permission
rbe – spawns a base at the position you are looking at. You cannot spawn a base on a player (including yourself)
rbe active – lists all bases being actively raided
rbe draw – draw the raids radius
rbe debug – toggles debug messages shown every second to server console for maintained and scheduled warning messages
rbe despawn – despawn a base near you, allows players with raidablebases.despawn.buyable permission to despawn a purchased raid based on Refund setting
rbe despawn_inactive – despawn all inactive bases
rbe despawnall – despawn all bases
rbe [basename] [difficulty] – spawn a raid at the location you are looking at
rbe expire steamid|playername – removes a lockout for a specific player
rbe expireall
rbevent [basename] [difficulty] – spawn a raid randomly on the map – and teleport to it if using the command in-game
rb.reloadconfig – allows you to reload the config without needing to reload the plugin. Some changes are not applied immediately, and no changes are retroactive to bases that are already spawned.
rb.config – allows you to edit the config by adding, removing, and listing bases. Requires the permission raidablebases.config when not being used from the server console.
rb ui [lockouts|status] – toggle ui on/off, or optional the lockouts or status
rb.toggle – toggles Maintained Events and Scheduled Events on/off, if enabled in the config, until plugin reloads
rbe setowner name – Sets the player as the owner of the raid
rbe clearowner – Clears the owner of the raid
Additional Bases allows you to add additional files to an existing base so that all bases in that list share the same configuration as the primary base/profile. This is great for setting up a list of bases for easy, medium, hard, expert and nightmare.
Command rb.populate will populate specific loot tables with every item in the game (items are disabled by default as their amounts are set to 0)

Tips

  • Players will be considered raiders after looting, killing an npc, using explosives, eco raiding, destroying a building block/high wall/door or dealing damage from INSIDE of the dome
  • You must change easybase1, mediumbase2, expertbase3, etc to the name of your CopyPaste files, or vis-versa. This plugin doesn’t create bases for you. You can use the rb.config command (rb.config add "easy bases" easybase1 easybase2 0) in the server console to make this process easier. You can rename all profiles or additional base filenames.
  • When copying a base with CopyPaste, make certain that you copy the base from eye level of the foundation outside of the base. I would not change autoheight from false to true. Do not change stability to true, as it may cause your base to crumble.
  • height is the distance the base is spawned off of the ground.
  • elevation determines how flat the surrounding terrain must be in order for bases to spawn on it
  • Scheduled Events is how often you want a random base to spawn on the map. This is disabled by default. This randomness comes from Every Min Seconds and Every Max Seconds
  • Maintain Events will always spawn the Max Events amount of bases on your map. This is disabled by default. When one despawns, another will take its place shortly after.
  • Allow Teleport will prevent players from teleporting when disabled. Compatible with NTeleportation or any plugin that uses the CanTeleport hook. Allows players to use beds if disabled.

Other Help

Zone Manager

This plugin does **NOT** use Zone Manager – it creates and manages everything on its own. If you are having issues with too few locations on the grid, or each attempt to spawn a base returns a manual spawn was already requested then it is likely because of how you have setup Zone Manager. You either have far too many zones, or you have zones which are far too large. Raidable Bases will not spawn in these zones unless the ZoneID is added to Allowed Zone Manager Zones in the config file.
Do not put this plugin in your store/shop. It simply is not designed to work with it. There are far too many cooldowns to make this idea plausible, and the plugin cannot function properly without them. Using /buyraid will open a UI designed specifically for this issue.
This plugin requires CopyPaste plugin to work. It also requires that you have copypaste files already made. Raidable bases will be spawned using the CopyPaste plugin. This plugin does NOT come with any bases.
PvE server friendly with TruePVE and other plugins that support the hooks CanEntityTakeDamage, CanEntityBeTargeted, and CanEntityTrapTrigger.
Bases can have 5 difficulty settings: 0 for easy, 1 for medium, 2 for hard, 3 for expert, and 4 for nightmare. This is configurable per profile.
Bases can spawn on roads and other areas that do not allow building by Rust. Building ladders in these areas is allowed by the plugin. I will add support for building twig later.

My bases often spawn in the same biome

If you’re having issues with spawn points being repeatedly used, or with a biome being favored consistently over other biomes then this is an elevation issue with the terrain on your map. You can fix this by increasing the Elevation in the configuration. For example, if your Elevation is 1.0 then set it to 1.5 and try again. This will also increase the height the base is allowed to spawn off of the ground. With certain maps you’ll just have to make do with this issue.

Corpses appear outside of the dome as backpacks

This is intended, and it is optional. The location is drawn on the players screen to notify them that their corpse moved. This allows players to retrieve their backpack in the event that the raid becomes locked privately to another player, and prevents them from entering. Players do not drop their active item when they die.

The premium version includes all 5 difficulties, player lockouts and buyraid features. The free version does not contain these features and has one difficulty setting (normal mode). Long story short, just buy this one. nivex has done so much work for modded servers and finally deserves some compensation other than donations.

No, each tier includes the previous tiers bases. I will change this in the future so all are unique but that will take quite some time. For now it’s best to buy tier 3 only.

hi, this information is available in the documentation by searching for ‘buyraid’ and ‘buyable events’

unable to deal damage, to what? a bought raid, a private raid, a public raid? did you look at the map to see if someone owned it? was that person locked out from a previous raid? did that player abandon a different raid? what message did the player receive? there’s multiple options that can influence this so be as specific as possible

there is 1 issue regarding this that is fixed in the next update where players that have a cooldown for purchased raid cannot damage any other raid until the timer expires

I suggest reading the documentation since it explains nearly every option the plugin has to offer

Is there any chance you could add posibly getting extra points in the ladder for taking on a harder base? Say 1 point for easy, 2 for medium, 3 for hard, etc… Could even be configurable to how many points you want to reward in the ladder for each difficulty.

there is no json file to replace. just the CS file.
upgrading requires you to configure difficulty settings, player lockouts and buyable events. this only takes a few minutes. edit the relevant config settings and then set the difficulty in each profile and you’re done.
updating doesn’t require anything special because updating means you already have the premium version installed and no update requires anything special unless stated otherwise in the update notes

Hi. This page is not the page for tier packages. This page is specifically for the plugin. Tier packages include the config, loot tables, profiles and up to 50 bases for the plugin. The $20, $35 and $50 packages do not include the $50 plugin. This information is available in the documentation for each package

Console commands in the documentation have been updated. rb.toggle, and rbe despawn_inactive commands help with this. rbe active will show active raids as well

Thanks! This plugin is amazing! Best thing I bought for my server. I have one more question, I have players asking what it takes to finish a raid? Doesn’t seem that when raiding there’s an end. Do you have to destroy X% of building or loot X% of all lootable containers?

I’m having problems with the loot multiplier, seems that when I set 10 for each profile and add one 0 to all the base loot items (30 to 300, 10 to 100 etc) the easy bases have way more than the nightmare bases, like over 1 million resources and ammo. What am I doing wrong?

It all depends on the amount you have set. Difficulty doesn’t matter. The same method is used for everything. amount * multi = total to spawn.

Hi Nivex, i trust you are well. 1st off, absolutely fantastic work done on your plugins, they really vibed up my servers, thank you. I have 2 questions, maybe you can guide me to what i need to do, 1 – I have around 20 x medium, hard, expert bases on my copypaste, but its seems only the same 4 or 5 (medium, hard etc) bases spawn the entire time although it has a 20 plus list to pick from (added all 20 plus bases with rb.config add “Hardbases” “MediumBases” etc), all the bases have sufficient boxes for loot (added with Fortify), 15 max events are allowed every time, am i missing something or is it this setting i need to change under scheduled events which i use – Chance To Randomly Spawn PVP Bases (0 = Ignore Setting) (0.0) – Overrides all PVP Allow profile settings for a chance to make the raid PVE or PVP? 2 – my vending machines that spawn in the bases have no loot in them, any ideas and what should i add here? i tried something and it gave me an error, your advice will be appreciated – Additional Containers To Include As Boxes (none) – example: vendingmachine. thank you, keep up the good work man 😉

Hello, I’ve looked into this for you and I’ve found no bug. Using a test of 1,000,000 iterations and 10 bases per difficulty the outcome was the expected result: all bases were chosen between 15,000 to 20,000 times. No bases fluctuated from this range.

You can get better results by enabling Require All Bases To Spawn Before Respawning An Existing Base.

As for vending machines, they’re a work in progress sir. They’ll be added soon.

Since this wipe only 3 bases are spawning in at a time even thought I have it set the same as before 1 of each maintained. I tried to complexly reinstall as well everything including the tier 3 setup but its still just the three. Did I do something wrong?

Are you referring to 3 bases, or 3 difficulties? Your wording is confusing. If you have Max Amount Allowed To Automatically Spawn Per Difficulty (0 = infinite, -1 = disabled) set to 1 for each, and Max Maintained Events set to 5 then 1 of each difficulty will spawn. It could take a while, under 30 minutes, but they will.

was running default config before force wiped, it will always spawn 5 bases from each difficulties (maintained event is 5 and 1 from each difficulty). since the forced wipe and using the same config, it will only spawn and maintained 3 bases, difficulty is random.

since lots of players asking for more bases to spawn, starting today i have mixed it with scheduled event to get 5 more bases to spawn and increase 2 bases from each difficulty. thats keep them quite for now. lol.

The issue is likely that your map does not have sufficient space for the larger bases to spawn. You can verify this by typing RBE DEBUG into the server console. You can reduce the size of Protection Radius in Expert and Nightmare profiles to 50, but you might have an issue with some spawning partially into a cliff side or such. And of course, that’s why their radius is increased to begin with 🙂

You have far too many zones setup in Zone Manager. Not only is that an extremely excessive amount, it is terrible on performance. Delete them and start over.

the damage on the walls of the raid of houses is disabled, the patrol helicopter does damage to the entire base, the players are raiding the house with a helicopter. can I fix this?

much like player bases, you will need to tell your players to not do this. this plugin does not handle patrol helicopter damage.

damage not being dealt is likely due to Protection Radius being modified to a bad value

message me on umod and provide a zip file with your configuration and oxide/data/RaidableBases folder and I’ll check this out for you.

Search cost in the configuration file. If you don’t see it then you have the free version installed

Hi nivex, since the update 2.1.1 it spawns with the command /rbe [basename] [difficulty] no longer the correct base but just random one from this category. Example: /rbe MediumBase2 (used to work like that) it spawns the MediumBase4 instead. Has something changed here in the command? We have checked the CopyPaste files, they were saved correctly and are spawned correctly with /paste MediumBase2 , as an example.

Absolutely awesome plugin, lots of work put into it, however, I cannot figure out the loot tables for the bases… Does it pull from the Base_Loot files or does it pull from the Dificulty_Loot files or both? I have both files edited.. ish, but the loot coming out of it isn’t that great based on the tables and item weight in the config.

Hi and thanks. Like the plugin, I’ve also put lots of work into the documentation. As stated in the documentation, it is a requirement that everyone read it before installing the plugin. There’s an entire section that answers your questions in better detail than I ever could here.

It’s been reported that there is an issue with the amount of loot being spawned. I will release a fix for this with the next update. Updates are generally around the 1st of the month.

Hello,
Is there a way to make the events eject corpses outside of the dome so that TP corpse can be used without completely enabling teleporting in the events? It used to teleport you outside of the dome but now you have to enable teleportation in config and it only allows you to teleport to where you died (infinity death loop lol)

that means it didn’t upload to your server properly. upload it again until it works. there’s nothing wrong with the file. the issue is your ftp client is sending chunks of the file and oxide is trying to load it before the entire file is uploaded. you can fix this in WinSCP by setting Preferences > Transfer > Endurance > Enable transfer resume/transfer to temporary filename > All files

Hey Nivex – first want to say thanks for the sweet plugin, totally worth the money. Actually having fun making custom bases, but I have two questions:
1. Is there a setting, or if not is it possible to get the NPC scientists to actually move around once spawned? I have it configured for them to spawn on beds and rugs, but they just stand there when engaged and don’t attempt to take cover anywhere… that would be awesome.
2. Is there any chance in the future that you can enable a Bradley spawn setting? I am thinking something like the Harbor Event plugin (he is a static position guarding the crane), can be influence by Bradley Tiers… for the purposes of this plugin I am trying to make military complex bases to raid and it would be great to be able to throw a Bradley into the mix 🙂

Hello nivex. a somewhat unusual question. We make it as difficult as possible for our players and have installed the mod Turret Weapons, which allows you to also equip Rocket Launcher and Multiple Grenade Launcher into an auto turret. Up until the last update (Raidable Bases and TruePVE) this worked great and the players took damage, but now the players are being targeted and shot at but no longer taking damage. I have also tried to figure out what is blocking the damage, but I can’t figure it out. It must have something to do with the TruePVE mod, because as soon as I turn TruePVE off everything works. I also tried to remove all flags and all rules from TruePVE, but it didn’t change the fact that the players don’t take damage with Rocket Launcher and Multiple Grenade Launcher. I also set the TruePVE defaultAllowDamage to true, but unfortunately it did not change anything. Do you have a spontaneous idea?

I first thought it might have something to do with the mod Turret Weapons in general, but the compound bows work without problems, so this theory is also wrong. It’s really only Rocket Launcher and Multiple Grenade Launcher.

How do I use this .zip/.7z file I just purchased on my server?

• First, you want to unzip the file. You can do so by just double-clicking it to open, then drag the contents to the desired location (you may need to install an external unzipping software if you don’t already have one such as 7zip or winrar)
• Next you will find either a structure of folders or just the .cs file itself (it’s the actual plugin file itself).
• After that just install the .cs (plugin file) into your …/oxide/plugins/ folder where you will install plugins you ever need to.
