Train Homes Description 

With this plugin, your players will be able to build their own small base on the wagon and wander around the server with it. Or you can even assemble a whole train of such wagons.

Chat Command (For admins)

/showfreewagons – Writes the number of available wagons to the console, and also shows their location on the server. (Permission is required for use)

/givewagon  <amount> <SteamID or Name> – gives the specified player an item for the spawn of the wagon in the amount that you specify (Permission is required for use)


Chat Command (For Player)

/thinstruction – instructions on some features of the plugin

/removewagon – take a hammer in your hands, write a command and hit the wagon


Console Command (RCON only)

clearallwagons – clears the server of all custom wagons. Be careful! The action is irreversible and players will lose all their items and resources. It should be used only before you want to turn off the plugin from the server, because after unloading, custom wagons can be created on the server.

givewagon  <amount> <SteamID or Name> – gives the specified player an item for the spawn of the wagon in the amount that you specify

    This is fabulous! Easy plugin to use, thank you Jtedal for making it easy! Our players are very excited to try them. I have tested them on our server and it is superb. Great idea great addition for Rust Servers!

    Fun when it works but Mod is buggy, have lost trains to them just vanishing while i am not on the server that i host which only myself and 1 other person has access too. also the trains dont properly protect you while you are in one so ive died to bears while being off for the night in my train base. would not buy if i could do it over.

      I am sorry that you are facing such problems. Unfortunately, so far I have not been able to fix the problem with animals, but this does not apply to my plugin in any way. You can also find this problem on the vanilla rust server. As for the disappearance of the wagons, you need to contact our discord for full support. Each server is different and perhaps some other plugin interferes with the performance of mine, since there are no such problems on my test server.     This is a great plugin. It has some bugs right now, but I am sure it will get fixed. Some unfortunately cant be fixed as it has nothing to do with the plugin, its part of vanilla rust.

    I have lost some trains over night. But I think its my fault as I take them off the track and put them in my building using the detonator. The next day when I get on they are gone.

    Aside from that, this plugin makes it fun. Mobile bases, trap bases (though electric doors no longer work, not sure if its a plugin or rust issue). Love the fact you can put turrets and electrical on the train car. I am still contemplating buying Grubers Old West, and the plugin from Adem, Caravan. I think these 3 plugins together would be amazing. We are playing this on my server running Grubers Atlanta – The Walking Dead. This plugin with that map offers a lot of fun! Tons of track to explore!

    My Favorite Plugin. As mentioned below was definitely a useu at the beginning. I spent a long time trying to figure out why the train sometimes lagged a bit (Glitchden). What I noticed is that it only happened after a while. And the further you got from the TC the faster it happened. Don’t be sad my good friend. Good concept makes you pay attention. I tried everything and now understand how to prevent it and why. 1 First it is important to use PowerlessElectronics.cs & VehicleDecayProtection.cs and set the range of the entire map. 2 Do not break your TC after building your train but remove other construction if necessary. It can’t be easier. 3 Garage doors and don’t use them. I will try to explain it easier. Walls and windows and normal doors work fine. Do not use skins. Do not use power wires. Sorry I am very busy and have to go. I will keep it short. Keep it as basic as possible and not too full. Turrets and fireplaces furnis workbenches sitting areas oven lighting sleeping bag bed etc. can be fine. With veerl pleasure I use the plugin. And you developer do not give up because the hope is there. Nice good concept that could have some more love. Greetings and set him up!!

  1. Is the Station plugin required to use the Train Homes plugin? or does it operate independently?

    • No, you can use the monument IF you choose to, otherwise the requirements are, you need to put down a foundation 7 foundations long, by 3 foundations wide. On top of which you also need to have a TC. You dont need to have resources in it if you just want to build real quick. Otherwise if you are going to use this as a repair and dispatch location yes you will need to have resources.

      You can use rustedit and add the trainhomes prefab/monument but again its not required. It just makes it easier so you dont have to tp it to a platform, build then tp back to rails.

  2. So I purchased this mod and used it.
    You dont have to have the Train homes base plugin. you use a RF transmitter to move the train to a 7×3 platform while the RF signal is set to the same one as the train.

    The mod is buggy though and i keep dying to animals while in my train logged out. would not advise this mod also trains bases sometimes just randomly disapear from the map.

  3. Question on this. I have put it on my map in several locations each of which when I run the map and join it says “too close to road”. The road is really far away. My question is, how far away from monuments does it need to be? Its way outside and far away but still doesnt let me build on my wagons

  4. I am playing with this mod and think I found a bug the electric Furness lose their power in then I put it on the tracks please fix ?

  6. Can you build, use on track, and then remove from track back to home storage? I don’t want people who will create a thing and then not use it. Is there a plugin or option to destroy train home if not used in x days?

Plugin FAQ – How do I use this .zip/.7z file I just purchased on my server?

• First, you want to unzip the file. You can do so by just double-clicking it to open, then drag the contents to the desired location (you may need to install an external unzipping software if you don’t already have one such as 7zip or winrar)
• Next you will find either a structure of folders or just the .cs file itself (it’s the actual plugin file itself).
• After that just install the .cs (plugin file) into your …/oxide/plugins/ folder where you will install plugins you ever need to.

• Installation is not included with any products on the site, however, if needed we may assist if you reach out to our support.

Currently all products on Lone.Design will be contained within a zipped file which is the .7z or .zip that you see. I believe windows 10 and up can unzip on its own without 3rd party tools, but in that case, if you’re unfamiliar with zipped files here are 2 programs I recommend to easily unzip zipped files.
