Description
ISLA NUBLAR

Before the earth’s apocalypse, dinosaurs had already disappeared once, then they were recreated on an island: Isla Nublar.
But then, the madness of men brought the earth to an apocalypse, and the dinosaurs disappeared again…
The Cobalt company started to rebuild a new society, and so they requisitioned this mysterious island, built new structures and kept some already existing, in order to test the remains of the dinosaurs (hoping to improve the human DNA to create a species of super-powerful human-soldier).
Come and discover or rediscover these monuments and this mythical island.

I can’t leave a review, because I didn’t purchase it. (Playing on a server that bought it) The reason I am writing here is because I HAVE to let the creator know that I can feel how much of a labor of love this map is. Jurassic Park is my comfort movie, and every thing added to this map is done so beautifully. I’m in awe and I love every little tiny reference made. You deserve to be told again, that this is an amazing map, a true labor of love, and a true pleasure to play! Amazing work!

Error when loading map. Fresh download from LoneDesign just now. Tried booting it on an oxide server with some plugins (and RustEdit dll) and it gives this error. Then tried it just on a local instance of a Rustserver (zero plugins at all, pure vanilla install from a fresh SteamCMD) and got the same error.
Couldn’t load server/server1/Electrik-Isla_Nublar-rev1.5.3.262.sav – file doesn’t exist

Hi, Is the map working now?
-
No, I spent WEEKS trying to get it to boot on a server. Even asked other devs and map makers for assistance and none of us could figure out why only this map will not boot
-
I wrote to Electrik on Discord, he needs to update the map. Hopefully it will be soon…

Hi Electrik!
I just bought the map before checking the comments. I have the same error as mentioned below.
-
Nevermind, just saw your comment on discord. I’ll wait for your update!
Keep up the good work!
-
Seen other comment about the few issues, having the same problems, unfortunately don’t have discord to see when the updates going to be?
Does anyone know when dev. is updating please?
Such a good map and everyone seems to enjoy it?
Fix please?

Map FAQ – How do I host this .zip/.7z file I just purchased on my server?
• First, you want to unzip the file. You can do so by just double-clicking it to open, then drag the contents to the desired location (you may need to install an external unzipping software if you don’t already have one)
• Next you will find either a structure of folders or just the .map file itself (it’s the important one).
• Once the .map is uploaded to dropbox simply copy the share link attached to it.
• You will first start off by uploading the .map file to an online hosting provider, I’ll include dropbox since it’s easy to get started with.
• Once you’ve copied the link paste it into your server’s startup .bat (batch) file. (You can leave the worldsize/seed. Custom maps override proc gen parameters)
• Example “levelurl “https:// www dropbox dot com/s/sdfagbragae/testmapname.map?dl=1”
• Make SURE the dl=0 at the end is changed to dl=1 otherwise players won’t be able to join!
• Now just start your server and it’ll boot right up! Below I’ll attach a video that goes more in-depth on hosting custom maps vs proc gen maps since it’s a tad different
Additionally, here’s a great video that easily covers hosting a custom map for the first time if you need it! https://youtu.be/y9vNvOIPyVM
• Installation is not included with any products on the site, however, if needed we may assist if you reach out to our support.
• If the product contains a plugin file (.cs) it’s advised to have it installed prior to booting your server with the map you purchased
Currently all products on Lone.Design will be contained within a zipped file which is the .7z or .zip that you see. I believe windows 10 and up can unzip on its own without 3rd party tools, but in that case, if you’re unfamiliar with zipped files here are 2 programs I recommend to easily unzip zipped files.

Winrar https://www.rarlab.com (I used to use for years, but works great!)

Only 1 hour into gameplay on this map and all I can say is, WOW. Very well done monuments, rail and bridge systems, and all the unique things you would remember from the Original Jurassic Park movie. Pretty impressive. Can’t wait for others to join and see for themselves.

Thank you so much !!! <3

I am absolutely blown away with the map it’s got so much too it. I have players looking for dinosaurs it is so realistic. There is so much of the movie added to this map and i still haven’t discovered it all. Very nice work Electrik. Another master-piece.

Thank you !!! Happy you love it :)

So my daughter LOVES Dinos and Jurassic Park so I obviously had to get this map for November WIPE. The MAP is my favorite so far! Electrik’s attention to detail is amazing!!! I definitely recommend this map. AND it DOES have the new MLRS Rocket Monument :)

Love this map not only the adventure in exploring the map but I have gained population, great job on this map. Just an idea can you turn the scare crows and zombies in to raptors that chase you around the map?
Electrik –
Thank you !!! Unfortunatly we can’t change 3D model to other one for the raptor thing :/
Dr.D. Bug (verified owner) –
Isla Nublar is one of the best, if not even the best map I’ve played on so far. Each part of the map reminds me on the film and especially at the detailed monuments some memories of individual scenes came up. Yes, unfortunately there are no raptors running around, but I gave my NPC bots raptor names and raptor stylish clothing. So the gameplay gives our players a little more jurastic feeling ;-)
The map has a very good quality and if something is wrong at some point, Electrik reacts immediately and fix errors that may occur. I’m excited to looking forward for new maps and prefabs of Electrik!
Thanks for this pleasure!
Electrik –
Thank a lot Dr.D.Bug !! happy you love the map :)

I had a bad experience with last custom featured map, and previous custom maps I have been trying, where just OK…
But what I can say from this map, is that i wasent expecting much. However, this turned to be the BEST map I ever played in Rust! Details, puzzle, feeling of gameplay, monuments. Fantastic.
One thing i notice though is that scarecrows docent seem to attack you, just go to you (but it could AI update the devs did).
Imagine putting dinosours here as well, would be very cool indeed.
Electrik –
Thank you ! happy you love the map :)
and yes, the new npc AI broke the scarecrow a little, I’m waiting for a Rust Edit update to fix this thing ;)
MrReebok (verified owner) –
Great Map only wish there was a dinosaur plugin to go with it. Awesome work
Electrik –
Please check if you have RustEdit extension installed as tell in the infos.txt provide with the map, if you didn’t installed it none of the door in custom monument will work.
If you have other issue you can ask me on my discord (link in the infos too).
If you resolve it can you change your rating after ? because this issue is not coming from the map ;)
Electrik –
I tried the map and everything work fine, can you check your settings, check if map is up to date and if you installed all you need ?
and if the map work after, can you please change your note ?
thank you

Isla Nublar has good levels of detail and offers an overall enjoyable experience. However, it is not without its flaws, particularly when it comes to running events involving armored trains or any other type of train. The map’s train system encounters several bugs, rendering it unable to navigate the loop properly. Strangely enough, even when attempting to designate a spawn point for the trains, an error message pops up, indicating that the tracks do not exist. This inconsistency is quite puzzling, considering the map’s primary focus on train tracks. It would be beneficial for the developers to address these issues in order to enhance the overall gameplay experience for users.
Electrik –
Last time I used the map, all train events work fine, maybe check your plugins config

The map is fantastic. It’s great to look at, plenty to do and the guys on my server love it! Just need to introduce a plugin that can re-skin bears to dino’s :P Great work – 100% recommend.

Truly excellent map, for a map that is now a few years old I am thrilled including all players on our Server. Very happy indeed, so much so Im considering to use it straight away again next wipe. Great attention to the details 100/100
