The map is perfectly balanced around the central point at launch site. Each monument has a mirror image, and loot is distributed evenly across the entire map.
Player spawns circle the entire isle (except the arctic), to evenly distribute start points.
Cliffs are designed to be easily climbable all over the map. Terrain is completely unique and offers a refreshing respite from repetitive procedural generated maps.
This map was designed from the ground up for people who love Rust.

Welcome To Isle of Rust, A Custom Rust Map
This lonely isle plays like the best procedural map you wish you had: Perfectly balanced as all things should be.
The map boasts a perfect symmetry like no other, which works to promote more action-packed gameplay. There are no dead spots, or hotspots, or tiers. There are no unclimbable cliffs, and no chokepoints. There is plenty of loot, plenty of nodes, plenty of roads, evenly spaced. Every location is a viable base location.
Highways and Maintenance
A highway and railway loop encircle the island, providing easy over-land transport to any destination.
As for maintenance: there is basically none. Everything is vanilla which means, you don’t need oxide, or any plugins at all. You are not dependent on updates or third parties, just use the map file and it will work. If you’re tired of waiting on updates from Rustedit, then this is the map for you.
Although it is technically a 4k map, the landmass has been shrunk to the approximate size of a 3500, which feels optimal for servers running 100-300 players.
Digging the Dirt
The terrain feels new and fresh while keeping with the philosophy of vanilla proc-gen. It is just the right combination of familiar and custom, offering a new experience without compromising gameplay. Mostly open terrain with rocky hills, packed into one landmass creates an optimal environment to roam and search for encounters with other players. There is enough variance in the landscape to offer an ideal preferred location for every player.

Map FAQ – How do I host this .zip/.7z file I just purchased on my server?
• First, you want to unzip the file. You can do so by just double-clicking it to open, then drag the contents to the desired location (you may need to install an external unzipping software if you don’t already have one)
• Next you will find either a structure of folders or just the .map file itself (it’s the important one).
• Once the .map is uploaded to dropbox simply copy the share link attached to it.
• You will first start off by uploading the .map file to an online hosting provider, I’ll include dropbox since it’s easy to get started with.
• Once you’ve copied the link paste it into your server’s startup .bat (batch) file. (You can leave the worldsize/seed. Custom maps override proc gen parameters)
• Example “levelurl “https:// www dropbox dot com/s/sdfagbragae/testmapname.map?dl=1”
• Make SURE the dl=0 at the end is changed to dl=1 otherwise players won’t be able to join!
• Now just start your server and it’ll boot right up! Below I’ll attach a video that goes more in-depth on hosting custom maps vs proc gen maps since it’s a tad different

• Installation is not included with any products on the site, however, if needed we may assist if you reach out to our support.
• If the product contains a plugin file (.cs) it’s advised to have it installed prior to booting your server with the map you purchased
Currently all products on Lone.Design will be contained within a zipped file which is the .7z or .zip that you see. I believe windows 10 and up can unzip on its own without 3rd party tools, but in that case, if you’re unfamiliar with zipped files here are 2 programs I recommend to easily unzip zipped files.

OK after looking myself, the issue is that there is no Train Yard, just the place where it should be
Thank you so much for reaching out! I will fix this immediately. Please download version 1.0.14 and give that a try. I tested it on my test server and it seems to work, however, when loading into rustedit, will remove trainyard for some reason. I think I might have forgotten to break a custom prefab which involves trainyard. Unfortunately I am away from home, but will be back to fix that issue in a week.
In the mean time, version 1.0.14 should work as long as you do not edit it in RustEdit. Thank you for your understanding and patience!
you have to use the latest beta rust edit and it wont strip the train yard.

i’m getting a map out of date error
Howdy!
‘World File Outdated’ is a misnamed error.
It’s cause by the Dropbox link ending with the wrong number. You need to replace the ‘0’ with a ‘1’ so it says: “dl=1” at the end of the link.
If you are using tempest as your server host, for some reason dropbox links don’t work with their servers. I’ve heard people have better luck hosting the file on Discord when hosting with tempest servers.

Could you elaborate a bit?
I’m testing the latest version (1.0.23) and the harbors seem fine.
