A plugin that helps add, delete, remove, load, and list saved custom stations to all deployed BoomBoxes

Categories: , ,

Description

Welcome to DarksBoomBox. This plugin helps you to add, delete, remove, list, or load custom radio stations that are streaming in .mp3 or .ogg to all deployed boomboxes. You will need to be within 10 meters of the boombox when using /loadstations. The rest of the commands work anywhere on the map. This plugin also allows you to save multiple stations in a config file to be able to load different stations at later times other than the default Rust stations without having to add them again. All new stations are listed at the bottom of the boomboxes available stations list when loaded.

Example station link:  http://listen.examplelink.com/example.mp3
.mp3 or .ogg MUST BE AT THE END OF THE LINK!

This plugin does require permissions for use, and use of each of the commands with the exception of /liststations

*Notice* I do not recommend giving default players any of the permissions except darksboombox.use

Commands:

/addstation <station name> <url>:

Adds a new radio station to the config file.

Permission: darksboombox.addstation
/deletestation <station name>:

Deletes a radio station from both the config file and the boombox available list

Permission: darksboombox.deletestation
/removestation <station name>:

Removes a station from the boombox but keeps it in the config file

Permission: darksboombox.removestation
/liststations:

Lists all radio stations saved in the config file

Permission: darksboombox.use
/loadstations:

Loads all stations from the config file into the nearest boomboxes. Requires the player to be within 10 meters of a BoomBox

Permission: darksboombox.loadstations

Permissions:

darksboombox.use: Grants general access to use the plugin

darksboombox.addstation: Required to use the /addstation command

darksboombox.deletestation: Required to use the /deletestation command

darksboombox.loadstations: Required to use the /loadstations command

darksboombox.removestation: Required to use the /removestation command

Example of use:

/addstation Example http://listen.examplelink.com/example.mp3
will add a station named “Example” with the URL of “http://listen.examplelink.com/example.mp3” to the config file

/deletestation Example
Will delete the “Example” station and its corresponding URL from both the config file and the boombox.

/removestation Example

/liststation
As stated above, provides a list of saved stations from your config file

/loadstations
will load all the saved stations from the configuration file with its corresponding URL into the boombox at the bottom.
*Will be adding a feature to block removed stations from being reloaded when using /loadstations*

  1. I personally use rcast.net

Otherwise there are simliar sites to this one.

The reason i use this site is because it shows the URL link for the station. Which as a reminder, for the station to load. The end of the link has to be .mp3 or .ogg

Plugin FAQ – How do I use this .zip/.7z file I just purchased on my server?

• First, you want to unzip the file. You can do so by just double-clicking it to open, then drag the contents to the desired location (you may need to install an external unzipping software if you don’t already have one such as 7zip or winrar)
• Next you will find either a structure of folders or just the .cs file itself (it’s the actual plugin file itself).
• After that just install the .cs (plugin file) into your …/oxide/plugins/ folder where you will install plugins you ever need to.

Additionally, here’s a great video that easily covers adding a plugin to your server if you need! https://youtu.be/yWC_p97FhQA

• Installation is not included with any products on the site, however, if needed we may assist if you reach out to our support.

Currently all products on Lone.Design will be contained within a zipped file which is the .7z or .zip that you see. I believe windows 10 and up can unzip on its own without 3rd party tools, but in that case, if you’re unfamiliar with zipped files here are 2 programs I recommend to easily unzip zipped files.

Zipping/Unzipping Tools
Winrar https://www.rarlab.com (I used to use for years, but works great!)
7zip https://www.7-zip.org/a/7z2107-x64.exe (the one I use currently)
