Description

This plugin will limit how many horses a player can hitch to the trough based on what permission you have granted them.
Limits for each permission are set within the config file.

Permissions:
HitchLimit.Level1 – Use the level1 limit in config
HitchLimit.Level2 – Use the level2 limit in config
HitchLimit.Level3 – Use the level3 limit in config
HitchLimit.Unhitch – Lets user use /unhitchall chat command
HitchLimit.Admin – Lets user use console command trough.count and trough.unhitchall

Chat Commands:
/unhitchall – Will unhitch all horses hitched on this players hitch troughs.

Console Command:
trough.count – Admin command shows count of how many horses players have hitched
trough.unhitchall – Admin command unhitches all players horses.

Support:
If support is required please use the discord support in the lone.design discord channel.
It can be found under #Customer_Support
Using the discussion or review pages on the website it will go unnoticed since there is no notification given to vendors when they get held back for moderation.

How it works:
When the horse attempts to hitch to the trough it checks the owner of the trough and how many horses that player already has hitched. If its over the limit then it will reject the horse and rotate it away.

This plugin is Great! It does exactly what it’s supposed to and is super easy to configure. Plus, it gives players a nice, simple UI every time they hitch a horse, so they can easily see when they’re nearing their limit. Highly recommend!

  1. Getting compile error when attempting to load on server start, post – 7/6 Facepunch patch (on your current version):

Error while compiling HitchLimit: ‘HiddenValue<ListDictionary>’ does not contain a definition for ‘Count’ and no accessible extension method ‘Count’ accepting a first argument of type ‘HiddenValue<ListDictionary>’ could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) | Line: 243, Pos: 67

    • Nope, this plugin has no code to kill horses in it. All it does is stops horses mounting to hitch posts if above the limit.
The closest thing to killing horses would be if as a admin you ran trough.unhitchall on server reboot. Which would un-hitch all the horses. But then they would still have the 20-25 hours to starve to death before they die.

        • At each restart some players lose all their horses. Yet they are indeed on a trough. For this I wonder if the plugin does not have a problem saving the trough. Because they really disappear when restarting and not all the horses, only certain players

  2. after restarting the server, 1 horse is constantly missing . 1 of the horses is permanently untied after restarting the server . I see I’m not the only one with such a problem.

  3. wipe feb 6th: Prob: Error while compiling HitchLimit: ‘HitchTrough’ does not contain a definition for ‘Unhitch’ and no accessible extension method ‘Unhitch’ accepting a first argument of type ‘HitchTrough’ could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) | Line: 178, Pos: 33

Plugin FAQ – How do I use this .zip/.7z file I just purchased on my server?

• First, you want to unzip the file. You can do so by just double-clicking it to open, then drag the contents to the desired location (you may need to install an external unzipping software if you don’t already have one such as 7zip or winrar)
• Next you will find either a structure of folders or just the .cs file itself (it’s the actual plugin file itself).
• After that just install the .cs (plugin file) into your …/oxide/plugins/ folder where you will install plugins you ever need to.

Additionally, here’s a great video that easily covers adding a plugin to your server if you need! https://youtu.be/yWC_p97FhQA

• Installation is not included with any products on the site, however, if needed we may assist if you reach out to our support.

Currently all products on Lone.Design will be contained within a zipped file which is the .7z or .zip that you see. I believe windows 10 and up can unzip on its own without 3rd party tools, but in that case, if you’re unfamiliar with zipped files here are 2 programs I recommend to easily unzip zipped files.

Zipping/Unzipping Tools
Winrar https://www.rarlab.com (I used to use for years, but works great!)
7zip https://www.7-zip.org/a/7z2107-x64.exe (the one I use currently)
