The Rust Lighthouse Guide, Tips, Loot & More

Overview of the Rust Lighthouse Monument

The Lighthouse is a tier-one monument with a distinctive vertical layout. Unlike other monuments, its coastal location can be both a blessing and a curse. It provides an easily identifiable landmark for navigation, but its isolated position might also make it quite a hotspot for other fellow players. There’s no huge reason to stick around as the loot isn’t as rich as other higher-tier monuments, but certainly a great place to start if you happen to be near one! Let’s dive into the loot, layout, tips, and more!

The Loot

Rich with starter loot, not so much with other crates this small monument offers the following:

  • Crude Oil Barrels: Very few, but you can find a couple in various locations.
  • Normal Barrels: Several spread around, roughly 5-8 in total.
  • Food Boxes: On the dock stair area you may find a small food box.
  • Brown Crates: Spread throughout you can find many brown crates, roughly 10 in total.
  • Green Crates: At a very slim chance, you may find a green crate at this monument.

Mapping Out The Lighthouse Puzzle Navigation

The lighthouse is a rather straightforward process regarding navigation. In short, just keep climbing up to finish, but there may be loot in spots you might miss. Here’s a quick gallery of the route and various locations you should check.

Tactical Knowledge

The Lighthouse, though not a hotbed for skirmishes, does have its own set of tactical considerations:

  1. Awareness: Be mindful of the area, if you happen to notice a slightly geared player running away from the monument, then chances are they looted it.
  2. Tread Lightly: Like many other monuments like Gas Station, Mining Outpost, and others, this offers a recycler so approaching the mid-section with caution may not alert anyone using the recycler or looting above you.
  3. Zipline Connection: Not always, but in some cases the monument may be connected to a nearby powerline which allows players to zipline quickly to the dock stairs of the monument.

The Utilities At Lighthouse

The Lighthouse doesn’t pack as many utilities as other monuments, yet its unique structure provides a distinct exploration experience:

  1. Green Card Spawn: Located on the desk in the first office to the right when you enter the first door you can find the green card spawn.
  2. Light Switches: Located in the first hallway, and in the lower tower entrance you can find two light switches to turn on/off the lights in the monument.
  3. Recycler: Located in the mid-section halfway up lies the recycler in the open area on the topmost floor before the tower.

Tips

Though simple, the Lighthouse holds a few secrets that could prove beneficial such as exiting the monument from dropping down from the side with minimal health loss:
